MAN WITH A MISSION shoots the music video for their lead single in Los Angeles

MAN WITH A MISSION’s “Evils Fall” music has been completed. The song is off of their upcoming March 12 release, “Tales of Purefly”.

“Evils Fall” is the second track on the album, and its aggressive sound ignites a spark as their leadoff single. The video was shot into the early hours of the morning in Los Angeles. Bridges in downtown were blocked off with the help of local police. The sight of the five band members walking across the blocked off bridge looks like it is straight out of a movie. 

The band also shot performance footage in a giant warehouse that is normally used for Hollywood films. The intense performance looks nothing like a staged music video shoot as it comes across the screen. A set was also built inside the warehouse where the five band members do some acting for the video.

“Evils Fall” has also been chosen to be the theme song for TV drama “BORDER”, which will start in April. The “BORDER” official website has the song playing in the background for the show trailer. The details of the music were not announced when the TV show trailer was released. It was only recently that they announced the song was, in fact, “Evils Fall” by MAN WITH A MISSION.

The second group of artists to participate in ＜ARABAKI ROCK FEST .14＞, which will be held on April 26 & 27 at Michinoku Park North District Eco Camp Michinoku (Kawasakimachi, Shibatagun, Miyagi Prefecture), has been announced. 28 artists including MAXIMUM THE HORMONE, MAN WITH A MISSION, Suga Shikao, THE BAWDIES and more have been announced.

Schedules will be announced in the near future. Furthermore, the third group of participating artists will be announced on March 2. Pre-orders for tickets began on February 17. Original merchandise “Arabaki × TOWER RECORDS ‘DO! ROCK’” will come as bonus for the pre-order, so check it out. Tickets will go on sale publically at 10AM, March 9.

MAN WITH A MISSION unveil the jacket covers for their new album 'Tales of Purefly'

MAN WITH A MISSION have unveiled the jacket covers for their upcoming album "Tales of Purefly" that's scheduled to drop in stores on March 12th. 

The jacket artwork was done by manga artist Nagai Go, who is known for his work in 'DEVILMAN' and 'Mazinger Z'. It's an illustration of a story that's full of impact. The "story book", which will be enclosed in the Limited Edition album, will also come with dynamic illustrations like the jacket covers.

MAN WITH A MISSION Reveals Information On New Compilation Album “Beef Chicken Pork” And International Version EP

In advance to their North American debut from Epic Records scheduled in the fall of 2014, MAN WITH A MISSION would be releasing their first compilation album “Beef Chicken Pork” and the international version EP “Don’t feel the distance e.p.” The band has finally revealed the cover artwork for the new releases.

The band’s first compilation album “Beef Chicken Pork” is comprised of their favorite live cover tunes including “FLY AGAIN” and “Smells Like Teen Spirit”. In the case of “DON’T LOSE YOURSELF”, “NEVER FXXKIN’ MIND THE RULES”, “Get Off of MY WAY”, and “distance”, an all-English lyrics version was rerecorded for the album. Just as the title suggests, the album will be packed with “main dish” quality songs. The artwork was created by one of the representative Japanese creators, Central67. The 20-page booklet includes plenty of pictures of the members that were shot overseas.

The EP “Don’t feel the distance e.p.” will contain four tracks: “FLY AGAIN”, the aforementioned English versions of “distance and “Get Of of MY WAY”, and a remix of “distance”. It will be released through the American indie label, RED Distribution.

The band is also set to release their third domestic release album “Tales of Purefly” on March 12. Furthermore, they are scheduled to begin their Japanese tour ＜Tales of Purefly Tour 2014＞ on March 24.

Details on MAN WITH A MISSION's 3rd album revealed

The details on MAN WITH A MISSION's new album "Tales of Purefly", which will be released on March 12, has been revealed.

"Tales of Purefly" will come with 13 songs, including their already released songs "database feat.TAKUMA (10-FEET)", "Emotions", and "your way". The limited edition will enclose a "story book". 

Shortly after the album's release, MAN WITH A MISSION will embark on their tour 'Tales of Purefly Tour 2014' on March 24. Then in fall, they are scheduled to make their major debut in the United States.

MAN WITH A MISSION Announces Release Of 3rd Album At Count Down Concert

MAN WITH A MISSION appeared on the EARTH STAGE at the count down concert event, COUNTDOWN JAPAN 13/14, and announced the release of their 3rd album in March immediately after the clock struck midnight of New Year’s Day.

The band has participated in COUNTDOWN JAPAN every year since their major-label debut in 2011 marking the third time this year taking on the role of performing the countdown on the biggest stage of the event, “EARTH STAGE”. Right off the bat, MAN WITH A MISSION swallowed the crowd whole with some up-tempo tunes.

As they put on an earth-shaking performance lighting the crowd on fire, 10-FEET’s TAKUMA appeared as a guest on stage to perform “database feat. TAKUMA (10-Feet)”. With little breathing room, the band sprinted through their aggressive show until the last song of 2013, “FLY AGAIN”. The entire crowd raised their arms in the air and swayed left to right as the band put on a fitting countdown stage.

While the crowd’s voltage was at its peak, the countdown was projected onto the screen. Everyone there shouted the countdown in unison: 10, 9, 8, 7, 6, 5, 4, 3, 2, 1.

Tapes covered the hall as the phrase “2014 HAPPY NEW YEAR” appeared on screen. The first song of 2014 was “Get Off of My Way”, turning the entire hall into a dance hall as the crowd danced away.

Jean-Ken Johnny (Gt, Vo, Raps) announced during the MC, “Happy New Year. We never imagined that we’d be able to see such a beautiful scene so early in the year. Thank you so much. MAN WITH A MISSION will keep sprinting in 2014. We have an important announce to make. We will be releasing a new album in the spring.” The crowd went even wilder as they were hit with this surprise announcement.

Keeping the voltage level high, the show approached the climax in its last number “Emotions”. Everyone there that day savored the moment of the countdown together at this very special stage.

The new album announced this time would be the band’s third and the first album release in 20 months that everyone had been waiting for. It is a concept album revealing a new dimension to MAN WITH A MISSION.

With a one-man concert at Makuhari Messe already set and a debut in American looming this fall, 2014 would surely be an ambitious year for the band.

MAN WITH A MISSION Makes Donation To Fukushima Indoor Park

MAN WITH A MISSON, who has been collecting donations since the Great East Japan Earthquake (*a portion of the money earned through sales of “Kedama Strap”), has announced that they would be making a donation for the “CHANNEL SQUARE Fukushima Indoor Park Project” run by “General Incorporated Foundation F-WORLD”.

Since the earthquake, the band has supported reconstruction in Tohoku; namely, in the three prefectures of Iwate, Miyagi and Fukushima. The rationale for this time’s donation to the indoor park was to support the children of Fukushima Prefecture.

The aftermaths of the nuclear power plant accident is not something that could be resolved immediately. Many problems still persist. What could MAN WITH A MISSION do at this moment? How could they be of help? Considering these questions, the band came to the conclusion to donate to this indoor park.

MAN WITH A MISSION plans to continue supporting reconstruction by supporting the indoor park along with fellow comrades of Fukushima. They have made it clear that they intend to keep on supporting reconstruction in any shape or form available to them.

MAN WITH A MISSION have announced that they will release their 3rd album "Tales of Purefly" on March 12.

This was announced on December 31 during their stage at the rock festival 'COUNTDOWN JAPAN 13/14' held at Makuhari Messe. After the band welcomed in the new year with their fans, Jean-Ken Johnny (G, Vo) reported, "MAN WITH A MISSION will as always continue to race through 2014. With this, we have an important announcement. We will release a new album in spring." 

"Tales of Purefly" will mark their first album since "MASH UP THE WORLD" released about a year and 8 months ago. It will be released in both limited and regular editions. The limited edition will enclose a "story book." 

On this day, MAN WITH A MISSION livened the crowd by performing upbeat songs, such as "database feat. TAKUMA (10-FEET)" and "FLY AGAIN". They then performed "Get Off of My Way" to ring in the New Year and closed their first stage of 2014 with "Emotions".

The fourth announcement has been made for the artists that will be performing during the fifth annual 2013 rock festival, ＜RADIO CRAZY＞, hosted by FM802.

＜RADIO CRAZY＞ is an end-of-the-year rock party taking place on 12/28-29; a gathering of top-tier artists. [HISTORY OF MAN WITH A MISSION]

In the year 19XX the earth was engulfed in war. Nation pitted against nation, human against human. Every living thing on the planet was locked in a chaotic battle to acquire each other’s wealth and power.

In the meantime, in the farthest away land of “Ladyland” there lived a genius biologist named Dr. Jimi (hobby: guitar) who was about to conclude a mad science experiment for a pack of superior creatures that would be called MAN WITH A MISSION (MWAM).

Are they human? Are they wolves?

Their looks may be deceiving and even comical at first glance, but they have incredible brain power and a superhuman physique. Such superb abilities enabled them to carry out the planet’s most challenging top secret missions, and made them untouchable by the world’s fearsome and powerful leaders including Genghis Khan, Attila the Hun, and Ivan the Terrible

The principality of Zeon had them work in the dark shadows of history in various locations around the world.

Dr. Jimi was plagued by guilt and regret that his creations had contributed to some of the most evil deeds in history and decided to put an end to it. He wanted to ensure that they wouldn’t fall under the spell of evil again and so he froze them into eternal sleep in a far edge of the world.

Determined not to let his creativity potentially bring more evil into the world the Doctor burned his guitar. He managed to escape the hands of evil and cheat death again and again, but he couldn’t avoid his destiny. Retribution for his death was to keep MWAM frozen under the glaciers in the South Pole. Jimi’s last words were, “I’ll try getting a straight perm in my next life.”

Time passed by and it was now the year of 2010. The planet had gone through worldwide economic crisis, numerous political and social tensions across borders, and was slowly being destroyed by pollution induced global warming. The warming and deterioration of the planet then melted the icy caskets that Dr. Jimi had jeopardized his life for. MWAM awoke from eternal sleep!
