Title and track list for Arashi's new single revealed

The title and part of the track list for Arashi's new single that's slated for release on February 12 have been revealed. 

Arashi's first single of 2014, titled "Bittersweet", is the theme song for Fuji TV's drama 'Shitsuren Chocolatier' starring member Matsumoto Jun. The coupling track "Road to Glory" will be used as the theme song for NTV's broadcast of the 'Sochi Olympics'.

The single will be released in both limited and regular editions. The limited edition will come with a DVD containing the PV for "Bittersweet". Meanwhile, the regular edition will include a total of 8 tracks.

Arashi's new single to be the theme song for Matsumoto Jun's starring drama

Arashi's new single (currently untitled) is set for release on February 12, this will be their first single in 9 months since the previous release, "Endless Game."

The title track of the single will be used as the theme song for member Matsumoto Jun's starring drama "Shitsuren Chocolatier", and it will also include the 2014 Sochi Olympics theme song for NTV.

The single will have a limited edition that will come with a DVD and a regular edition. While the limited edition will only include 2 tracks ("Shitsuren Chocolatier" theme song and "2014 Sochi Olympics theme song), the regular edition will have total 4 tracks (the same 2 tracks in the limited edition, and 2 other coupling tracks), and the original Karaoke version of those 4 tracks.

Arashi Talks About Their Upcoming Fuji TV Special "Atarashi Arashi"

Arashi willl take on a different twist on a television program as they do Fuji TV's 2-part special "Atarashi Arashi" where they will be teaming up with certain directors according to their assigned project.

Satoshi Ohno is assigned to do the "mischief" project where he will be doing a graffiti. Sakurai Sho was delighted to know that he will be doing the "real face" task where he will be spending a day with a stranger.

Jun Matsumoto's patience will be tested as he will be assigned for the "challenge" project where he should keep away from pressure and maintain his poise after doing the so-called "Ultimate Challenge".

While Masaki Aiba will take on the "gourmet" tour and hopes he will be given a Hawaiian vacation. And lastly, Kazunari Ninomiya will be doing a comedy skit performing it with two female entertainers for his "comedy" project.

"Atarashi Arashi" will air for two Saturdays starting on July 13 at 11:30PM (JST) and July 20 at 11:40PM (JST).

Arashi Reveals Details On New Single

Arashi has revealed more information about their upcoming single "Endless Game" which will be released on May 29. The single will also be used as the theme song for member Sho Sakurai's new Fuji TV drama "Kazoku Game".

Details for their new single are already out. The regular edition will contain instrumentals while the limited edition will be having the single's PV.

Arashi's New Single "Calling/Breathless" Sets Group's Record For Best First Week Sales

Arashi's 40th single, "Calling/Breathless", sold 756,00 copies in its first week, setting a new group record for most copies of a music release sold in its first week.

Prior to the new single, the group's strongest first week sales came from their best of album, "All the BEST! 1999-2009", which was released on August 19, 2009 and sold 753,000 copies in its first week. Arashi's best first week sales for a single occurred in November of 2010 with the release of "Hatenai Sora". The single sold 572,000 copies in its first week.

"Calling/Breathless" is the best selling single by a male artists since KAT-TUN's debut single, "Real Face", was released on March 22nd, 2006. The single sold 754,000 copies during its first week of release.

The new single marks Arashi's 36th single to top the Oricon weekly singles chart. The group has now had 29 consecutive chart-topping singles, a streak that started when "Pikanchi Double" was released on February 18th, 2004.

Arashi's "Popcorn" Album Covers Revealed

The covers to Arashi's new album "Popcorn" have been revealed.
The new album will be released on October 31st, coming in both a regular and limited edition.
"Popcorn" will include 16 tracks, including 5 solo tracks from each of the members. The full track list can be found here.

The group's new album will be advertised on the sides of Japan Airlines airplanes, marking the 3rd time the two have partnered up.

Arashi to release special compilation album “Ura Ara Mania”, tracklist of 62 songs revealed

Arashi is holding their concert “AraFes” at Tokyo National Stadium for the fifth time this year and will be trying out some new ideas for their concert, including performing a repertoire voted by fans and doing away with back-up dancers.

To commemorate “AraFes”, Arashi is releasing a special compilation album titled “Ura Ara Mania” comprising 62 songs, 49 of which are coupling B-sides. Besides the coupling B-sides, the album also includes rare songs that are difficult to obtain, popular concert melodies and hidden songs.  It’s described as an album that can be enjoyed by both fans who will and will not be attending “AraFes”. The tracklist was released recently and can be viewed below!

Requests for pre-order can be made on the dedicated J-storm homepage from 8/16 13:00 to 8/23 24:00, and the album will be delivered during “AraFes” between 9/20-9/21.

The album costs 6000 yen and can only be bought through the J-storm homepage. Also, each person may only make one purchase and deliveries will be made to Japanese addresses.

Arashi Reveals Results of Fan Voting for "AraFes"

It was earlier reported that Arashi will be holding a two days Arashi Music Festival titled "AraFes" at Tokyo National Olympic Stadium. 

In lieu of the said festivals, fans were given the chance to decide the concert setlist for Arashi's AraFes via fan voting. The voting ended last July 31st and here is the overall results:

Arashi's Unique Dance Choreography for 24 Hour TV CM

It has been earlier reported that Arashi will returned as the main host for 24 Hour TV for the 3rd time.


In lieu to their promotional activities for 24 hour TV, morning news programs have revealed new CMs for 24 Hr TV wherein the 5-member group have been paired to do a unique dance. The production team have reportedly collaborated with "Strange Kiniko Dance Company" to do the choreography that is cute and funny. The said dance company is famous for their unique approach to dancing.
