SEKAI NO OWARI to simultaneously release new single & live DVD in April

It's been revealed that SEKAI NO OWARI will simultaneously release their new single "Honoo to Mori no Carnival" and live DVD "Honoo to Mori no Carnival in 2013" on April 9.

The single's title track is a pop tune that was composed with the keyword "TOKYO FANTASY". It will come in 3 different types: Limited Edition A, Limited Edition B, and Regular Edition. The Limited Edition A DVD will contain the PV for "Honoo to Mori no Carnival", while the Limited Edition B DVD will contain the recording documentary for the song. 

The live DVD will feature the one-man live 'Honoo to Mori no Carnival' which was held on member Fukase's (Vo) birthday, October 13. It will include a total of 18 tracks.

SEKAI NO OWARI to hold free lives in Tokyo & Osaka this weekend

Following the release of their latest single "Snow Magic Fantasy" last January 22nd, Japanese rock band SEKAI NO OWARI will be holding a free live concert for their fans this weekend. In addition, those who will be buying the CD in the venue will have a surprise treat.

The specific venue and further details about the concert will be posted in the band's official website on January 25th at exactly 12:00MN but it was confirmed that it will take place in Tokyo on Saturday (January 25th) and in Osaka on Sunday (January 26th).

SEKAI NO OWARI: Details for new single, “Snow Magic Fantasy”, announced

Details were announced for SEKAI NO OWARI’s new single, “Snow Magic Fantasy”, which is scheduled for release on January 22, 2014.

The title track is receiving much acclaim for its use in the “JR SKISKI” campaign commercial. A teaser ad that features DJ LOVE has helped gain additional support for the track. The CD will include a song called “GINGAGAI NO AKUMU” which was composed by Nakajin, the leader, sound producer, and guitarist of SEKAI NO OWARI. Vocalist, Fukase, wrote the lyrics. An instrumental version of “Death Disco” is also included on the CD.

A CD including 10 live tracks from the “HONOU TO MORI NO Carnival” concert will be attached with the limited edition-A single. The limited edition-B single will include a DVD that contains the music video for “Death Disco”, which was made from footage from the “HONOU TO MORI NO Carnival” concert, and a making-of video of the “Snow Magic Fantasy” cover photo shoot.

The first pressing of the regular edition single will include a scratch-off card to win a “NAZO NO DVD” (mystery DVD), something that the band has been known for.

SEKAI NO OWARI's new song used in CM for JR Higashinihon's 'JR SKISKI'

SEKAI NO OWARI's new song "Snow Magic Fantasy" has been chosen as the CM song for JR Higashinihon's 'JR SKISKI' campaign. The CMs have started airing on December 3.

"Snow Magic Fantasy" was written just for this CM. It will be released as their new single on January 22, and it will be available for download through Recochoku starting December 4. 

The theme of this winter's 'JR SKISKI' is "youth" and "love." It stars actress Kawaguchi Haruna who conveys the enjoyment of leisure in the snow. Before the CM broadcast, a teaser poster featuring SEKAI NO OWARI's DJ LOVE (as seen above) was posted at JR Higashinihon Stations for one week.

SEKAI NO OWARI to release a new single in January

On November 2nd, SEKAI NO OWARI appeared at Waseda University's school festival live. During this live, the band announced that they would release their new single "Snow Magic Fantasy" on January 22, 2014. 

Regarding their new release, Fukase (Vo) explained, "It's unusual, but I wrote a love song," and continued, "But it's not done yet." It's said to be a winter song with the lonely and dazzling feeling of winter. 

The single will be released in 3 different types: Limited Edition A, Limited Edition B, and Regular Edition. Limited Edition A will come with a CD containing live audio tracks from their one-man live 'Honoo to Mori no Carnival', while Limited Edition B will come with a DVD including the PV and digest footage from 'Honoo to Mori no Carnival'. 

On this day, the band performed their popular songs, like "Starlight Parade", "Fantasy", "Tenshi to Akuma", "RPG", and "Instant Radio", for about 4,000 people. During the MC, Nakajin (Leader, Sound Produce, G) said, "This is SEKAI NO OWARI's first school festival live!" Fukase added, "I love Waseda Festival. I come every year. So I'm happy that we're able to hold a live here."

SEKAI NO OWARIが新曲「Death Disco」を配信シングルとして10月30日（水）にリリースすることを発表した。同曲は、リアル脱出ゲームを映画化した『マダム・マーマレードの異常 な謎』の主題歌となっており、10月12日（土）から14日（月・祝）にかけて開催されたSEKAI NO OWARIセルフプロデュースによる初の野外ワンマンフェスティバル「炎と森のカーニバル」で初めて演奏された。今回の配信は、ライヴ終了後にリリースに 関する問い合わせが殺到したため、急遽決定したという。

SEKAI NO OWARI to digitally release their new song 'Death Disco'

It's been revealed that SEKAI NO OWARI's new song "Death Disco" will be released digitally on October 30. 

"Death Disco" will be used as the theme song for Kawaguchi Haruna's starring movie, 'Madame Marmalade no Ijou na Nazo'. It's an aggressive number that the band performed for the first time during their outdoors live 'Honoo to Mori no Carnival' from October 12 to the 14th.

SEKAI NO OWARI to provide theme song for movie 'Madame Marmalade no Ijou na Nazo'

SEKAI NO OWARI will be providing the theme song for the movie 'Madame Marmalade no Ijou na Nazo'. 

The song SEKAI NO OWARI wrote for the movie is called "Death Disco". The release date for this song is currently undecided; however, it will air on TOKYO FM's 'SCHOOL OF LOCK!' for the first time on September 13.

'Madame Marmalade no Ijou na Nazo' stars actress Kawaguchi Haruna, and it will be released in two parts: 'Shutsudai Hen' and 'Kaito Hen'. In 'Shutsudai Hen', many mysteries will be introduced, and in 'Kaito Hen', the mysteries will be solved. 'Shutsudai Hen' opens in theaters on October 25 and 'Kaito Hen' on November 22. 

SEKAI NO OWARI to hold a live at Waseda University's school festival

It's been revealed that SEKAI NO OWARI will be holding a live concert at Waseda University's school festival, 'Waseda-sai 2013'. The festival will be held on Toyama Campus on November 2.

The event will be planned by the student group 'AGESTOCK2013 Executive Committee'. SEKAI NO OWARI is scheduled to perform in front of about 4,000 people. Ticket information is available on AGESTOCK's official website.
