J × AA= Set To Hold Two-Man Event: Meaning To Appear As Guest Act

It has been confirmed that J and AA= would be holding a two-man event at Shibuya TSUTAYA O-EAST on May 1.

LUNA SEA and THE MAD CAPSULE MARKETS have both been leaders of the Japanese rock scene since the 90’s. The bassists for the two bands will be collaborating to hold an event together.

LUNA SEA’s J, who will be celebrating his 25th career anniversary, still goes on strong with releasing albums for both LUNA SEA and his solo project in 2013. Takeshi Ueda, likewise, has not slowed down since THE MAD CAPSULE MARKETS went on break and he founded his solo project AA=. He released two albums in 2013, and has continued to actively offer songs to other popular artists. This would be the first time for the two to collaborate with their solo projects. We cannot wait to see what kind of chemical reaction would be induced by this long-awaited collaboration.

Furthermore, Meaning, the band to which ELLEGARDEN’s bassist Yuichi Takada belongs, will be appearing as guest act.

Pre-order tickets went on sale beginning noon, February 10. Public release will be at 10AM, March 15.

J to Give His Final SHIBUYA-AX Performances

SHIBUYA-AX is closing its doors at the end of May 2014 after fourteen years of operation. J will be holding two performances at SHIBUYA-AX prior to its closure.

J has held a unique event entitled "AX 5days" four times at SHIBUYA-AX and has performed at the venue at various points of his solo career, leaving quite a mark. Additionally, J is the artist who has held the most total performances at SHIBUYA-AX during its fourteen-year history.

The staff at AX requested J perform there one last time, and in response, J has decided to hold his last ever SHIBUYA-AX performances.

The shows will be held during the middle of Golden Week on May 3 and 4. The title of the performances is "J 2014 Special Live -Thank You AX!! Good Bye AX!!-."

J's appearance will be tinged with his utmost gratitude and respect for AX, which has given birth to many great moments in his musical history. It will be a genuine last SHIBUYA-AX show.

J Blu-ray/DVD "CRAZY CRAZY IV" will be released at 2014/03/26 (Blu-ray 8,190yen / DVD 7,140yen).

J will Be on Nico Nico Live on the Release Day of “Freedom No.9”

J will be releasing an original full album on October 23 after one and a half years' absence, and will be streaming the live performance on the release day ＜TOKYO 10 DAYS 10/23 Shibuya CLUB QUATTRO＞ on Nico Nico Live. 

The tickets are already sold out since the release day. For fans who could not get the tickets, it will be a great opportunity to check out the songs from the upcoming album performed live for the first time. 

J's program on Nico Nico Live will start 90 minutes before the show streaming. Not only music videos from the past but also the latest video “NEVER END” will be aired in full size. After the premier of the new video the program will go into the live streaming crammed with fans waiting to check out the new songs. 

J will be kept busy with both solo and band activities, including the release of “Ran”, LUNA SEA's new album. The heat is on for ＜TOKYO 10 DAYS＞, which lasts to the year-end. If you are fan, you wouldn't want to miss either of his solo or band events.

[FULL PV] J - Never End

J: Album jacket and music video for new album, “Freedom No.9” revealed

J, who have been extensively touring outdoor festivals this summer, revealed information about their new album which will be released on October 23. Track listings, album jacket photos, and a portion of the music video for “NEVER END” were revealed.

The concert at Daikanyama UNIT on September 17 was the second show of “TOKYO 10 DAYS” that started in August. The band played four songs off the new album back-to-back. Even before the release of the album, the new J sound was captivating the crowd.

The concert was a good start to rest of the year’s events, which includes several concerts and an upcoming release.

J played a second show at UNIT on September 18. Their Japan tour will start over the weekend. Sales of the song, “NEVER END,” have already started.
