MoNoLith will disband & best album & mini album release

The sad news this week won't stop: Visual Kei band MoNoLith announced today that they will disband this summer.

The members posted an official announcement on their blogs today that says that they've decided to disband after being active for about 8 years. They stated that they're very happy for being able to make music together without any member changes for all these years and that they're sorry for disappointing everyone's expectations.

But even though all members commented on the disbanding none of them gave a real reason for this decision. Bassist Takafumi who has lost his mother during the Tohoku earthquake stated before that the band MoNoLith and the members have helped him a lot during that hard time. Today he wrote that he doesn't know if this decision is right or wrong but he commented on the importance this band has for him: "This band's lyrics and music have saved me."

And drummer Hayato stated: "We're very selfish to do something like this but we're also very thankful that you've supported us until now. "If there are encounters they will lead to goodbyes one day." And all the same: If there are beginnings they will lead to an end one day."

MoNoLith will release two more CDs on June 25th: A mini album titled "SiN" and a Complete Best Album titled "MONOLITH". "SiN" features a CD and DVD and costs 3564 Yen. "MONOLITH" will cost the same but comes with two CDs including 32 songs. This is the track list of the Best Album:

MoNoLith's last one man tour titled "The Muddy "SiN"ners" will start on July 2nd in Fukuoka and will end with their last live at Shinjuku BLAZE on August 31st.
