ZORO Undresses In Cover Artwork For “Mousou Nikki”

As has been already announced, the visual kei electro rock band, ZORO, would be releasing their first single in a year on December 11th. The single will be an ambitious electro-arranged cover of SID’s masterpiece “Mousou Nikki” with lyrics rewritten in English. The cover artwork for the single has now been revealed.

The artwork is a controversial shot of vocalist Ryuji and bassist Tatsuhi exposing their lower bodies. The shot of Tatsuhi rolling up his shirt and Ryiji with his pants wrapped around his ankles represents what is to come.

“ZORO always comes with thorns. We wanted to express the essence of ZORO not just through the song, but also through the visuals.” –Ryuji

The shocking picture that was linked to the mysterious catchphrase, “mou kireru sunzen…” (I’m about to lose it…), which appeared on the special website, was a statement expressing the band’s determination with their first release since transferring to their new record company.

As the names suggest, their “Limited First Press Edition A [White Edition]” features a white background as opposed to the “Limited First Press Edition A [Black Edition]” which features a black background. However, upon careful observation, the two editions have other minor differences with seven in total. Purchasers of the CDs who find all seven differences and answer them correctly would be eligible for winning invitation tickets to a whopping 33 ZORO concerts as “Mousou Nikki’s” release commemoration bonus.
