On 12/11, kameleo will be simultaneously releasing a cover single, “Moso Nikki” and a mini album, “5/5”. At this time, the short version of the mini-album title song, “5/5” has been made public.
As the title suggests, the mini-album “5/5” is a rare piece that features songs composed and written by each of the members, with vocals sung by the respective member who wrote it, and even goes so far as so be produced by the members themselves.
This CD, in which each song expresses each particular member’s point of view, could be considered as a collection of the solo works of each member. However, the overall sound doesn’t feel divided. It’s no exaggeration to say that “5/5”, which was written and composed by the band’s leader, Kouichi, with vocals by HIKARU., is a song that represents the strong will of the band in its present state. The road that brought them to where they are now wasn’t always filled with laughter, and the song lyrics which describe the history of their band express their determination and feelings of thanks toward the other members and fans. It’s a medium tune that will resound within your heart with its depiction of a bright future.
The meaning behind the release of this song as a precursor to kameleo’s two-year anniversary live, ＜Mecha x2 Minasan no Okage Deshita! ~Kinensai~@Nippon Seinenkan＞ can be found in the music video. There’s no doubt that this song will be the central pillar to the live. The hall live that kameleo will be holding at the Nippon Seinenkan to commemorate the start of their third year should be a festive anniversary event, filled with kameleo’s gratitude towards their fans.
