It has been announced that all female Japanese metal band DESTROSE will be the honored musical guest at Tokyo in Tulsa Japanese Pop Culture Convention which centers itself around Japanese Animation, located in Tulsa, Oklahoma, August 2nd through 4th for the bands U.S. debut.
Female metal bands are the hottest new trend in Japan and DESTROSE is the front- runner. They have been compared to Japanese rock legends X-Japan being coined as the female version, due to their twin lead guitar sound and double bass drums. Although they are very visual and fashionable, DESTROSE is all about the music and a very skilled group indeed.
Following the pattern of rocks bands, DESTROSE has had their own trials and tribulations with member changes all the while releasing demos, singles and DVD's but finally got a solid line-up and as we reported in April , the girls brought their first album to the table "DESTROSE" which debuted on the Japanese Oricon charts at #10.
The scheduled timetables are not listed as of yet on Tokyo in Tulsa's website, or on their Facebook page ,so you will have to keep an eye out for when DESTROSE will be playing. Ganbare DESTROSE! Welcome to America!
