Japanese rock band Champagne who has been gaining popularity very quickly in Japan and and around the world, released their 7th single "Forever Young" including a music video on April 4th, 2013 which lands them in hot water with Aussie band Clubfeet, who accuses Champagne of "Ripping them off" by copying their video technology with an identical video of Clubfeet's "Everything You Wanted music video.
With so much controversy in the music industry from allegations of plagiarism, basically stealing anothers' melodies, guitar riffs, and samples used intentionally or accidentally now includes technology? Well, the videos are very similar indeed, and Champagne got so much negative feedback which spread like wildfire through Twitter and social media, the video had to be taken off Youtube and apologies made by the members although they were not responsible for the production decisions:

This situation leads to the debate of modern technology. If no one copied or used someone elses technology, improved it etc., then it would not be called "Modern Technology". Is Clubfeet the first one to use this technology? probably not. Take a look at video games and animation for example, look how far technology has come. It started with someone copying someone else. Although a very large planet we live on, with millions of people, it is likely that several will come up with the same idea not knowing someone else has also. "Creative minds think alike" is a saying that may apply to this situation.
Hopefully we will see a brand new music video for "Forever Young" in the future using their own effects/technology etc. The song itself was very good and well accepted from Champagne fans.
