As previously reported, an event called "MONSTER BOX" will be held on February 2, 2014 at Shinkiba STUDIO COAST featuring artists such as girugamesh and ARTEMA. NoGoD, ROACH, and DJ MASAAKI YAGUCHI (MUCC) are the second set of artists to be announced for the event.
"MONSTER BOX Vol.00" is an event that is being held in order to shape and enlighten the world about NWOJHM (new wave of Japanese heavy music), a new category in the loud rock scene. Three new artists have been announced to further this goal.
The first artist is NoGoD, a group led by vocalist Dancho and currently enlivening people's living rooms. Other artists are ROACH from Okinawa and as a DJ, MASAAKI YAMAGUCHI (MUCC), who is active all overt the world and transcends genre.
Combined with the previously announced artists girugamesh, ARTEMA, and German band Eskimo Callboy, this event will be a gathering of artists from different parts of the current loud rock scene. It seems as though this grouping will bring about some provocation for the current Japanese loud rock scene.
The general sale tickets will be available starting on Sunday, January 12, 2014. "And more…" is currently listed in the artist column, and a third group of artists will be announced at a later time.
