BugLug x SuG x vistlip Elite Three-Band Event at SHIBUYA-AX

A wonderful event featuring three bands - BugLug, SuG, and vistlip - will take place at SHIBUYA-AX on February 12, 2014. This event, called "KING GHIDORAH," is an amassing of a group of energetic bands in the scene. This is the first time these three bands have come together, and perhaps this formation would be enough to rival fictional Japanese monster King Ghidorah.

BugLug's September release "HICCHAKA×MECCHAKA" first appeared at number five on the Oricon single ranking chart. Beginning with their sold out performance at Akasaka BLITZ in May, they have also sold out most of the performances on their first nationwide one-man tour that they began in October. Their steady advance is appropriate for their slogan for this year of "Bacchikoi" ("We're ready!"). At their December 15 performance at Zepp DiverCity, they announced that their slogan for 2014 will be "Bucchigiri" ("winning by a large margin"). On March 19, they will release a new single entitled "Hone," and they will hold the final performance of their June Tokyo-Nagoya-Osaka tour at Hibiya Open-Air Concert Hall.

SuG, on the other hand, took a one-year hiatus following their final performance at Yoyogi National Stadium Second Gymnasium on December 29, 2012. At their guerilla live performance in September, they announced that they will re-start activities on the same day at the same venue one year later. During their hiatus, the members were proactive and challenged themselves to do various session bands and perform as support musicians and as solo artists. With his solo project "Uwakimono," vocalist Takeru has performed with various artists without regard to genre. SuG's long-awaited revival performance sold out in only one minute. They will release their first single following their revival, entitled "MISSING," on February 19. This three-band performance will occur just before their single release.

vistlip also sold out their performance on July 7 at Zepp Tokyo, which was held in honor of the anniversary of their formation. Prior to 2014, which will be the seventh year since their formation, they released their first single collection on December 4. With their performance "Merry Bell," on December 5 at Shinkiba STUDIO COAST, their one-man tour "Good vibes CIRCUIT II," which will begin in May of 2014, their April 9 single release, and their recurring appearances on television and in media, they are a band that is currently cultivating extensive appeal.

The tickets for this event are available for general sale beginning on January 18, and the competition for tickets will certainly be fierce for an event featuring these bands that usually hold one-man concerts at venues that have a capacity of a few thousand people. Their idiosyncrasies and careers have been different, but what is common between these three bands that they use various methods of expression -catchiness, mania, pop and aggressiveness - to dazzle their audiences. Like the dragon-headed King Ghidora, these three bands have come up in the scene with the force of an ascending dragon. The expectations of the explosive power when these bands come together will only increase from here.
