[Press Conference] UNiTE At "JRock Evolution" in Singapore

UNiTE was part of the concert event "JRock Evolution" in Singapore on October 5th. JpopAsia attended the band's press conference before the event where they talked about how their new album and how they've evolved since their debut.

Check out the Q&A session from the press conference below:
-
Q: How do you feel knowing that this is your first time performing in Singapore with MUCC?

UNiTE: We feel very happy! Tomorrow, we’re going to perform songs for all of our Singaporean fans!
-
Q: What are your thoughts about Singapore during your flight here?

UNiTE: It’s a very beautiful city. Where ever we went, it was always very beautiful. We took many pictures of the scenery too.
-
Q: What do you feel about being picked up from the airport by your fans?

UNiTE: We feel very excited that we can perform here in Singapore. Also, this is our first time performing in a country outside of Japan, and it was an experience to live up to our band’s name of UNiTE-ing with our fans at the airport. We hope to be able to perform in many other countries as well.
-
Q: How would you describe your fashion style both on-stage and off-stage

UNiTE: Our fashion is styled by our personalities.
-
Q: When you leave Japan to perform in another country, is it painful? And how do you cope with the emotions?

UNiTE: Well, if we leave the country for around 3-5 days, we’re perfectly alright with it. But if it stretches more than 1 week, we become more worried about our properties and belongings, wondering if somebody will take our things.
-
Q: What is the theme of your upcoming album, and how different is it from your first?

UNiTE: The album is titled “Meaning”. When the name of the album was released, we received some messages from our fans who didn’t see the need to continue living anymore. So with this album, our message to everybody is to give them a small change in their way of thinking, like looking forward to things in life, and to change their way of thinking as well, from negative to positive.
-
Q: How long does it take for your band to be fully prepared for a concert in general?

UNiTE: Each of us takes about an hour or more, so for all of us to be fully prepared and ready, it would take about 5-6 hours.
-
Q: This is your first time performing in Singapore, so have you prepared anything special for your fans?

UNiTE: We hope to bring more positive and lively energy and emotions to the performance and to our fans.
