[Press Conference] MUCC At "JRock Evolution" In Singapore
MUCC was part of the concert event "JRock Evolution" in Singapore on October 5th. JpopAsia attended the band's press conference before the event where they talked about how their new album and how they've evolved since their debut.
Check out the Q&A session from the press conference below:
-
Q: Your albums have many different concepts. Where do your ideas and inspirations come from?
MUCC: It is not that we deliberately wanted to have so many concepts in our albums. It just comes about naturally. Our ideas are from things that happen to us, so we use those events to inspire the concepts.
-
Q: You have a new album releasing near the end of this year. Tell us more about it.
MUCC: We have been together for 15 years. With this, we added in a “groovy” kind of feel to the album.
-
Q: Do you have any plans to collaborate with anybody else outside of your genre?
MUCC: Yes we definitely would like to collaborate with other artistes outside of our genre. We do not mind collaborating because we are willing to try it out, even during concerts. Also, we have collaborated with other artistes in our newest album.
-
Q: What should the Singaporean fans remember when you are performing?
MUCC: Talk to fans, concert aren't too flashy but energetic instead.
-
Q: You have been together for 15 years. How do you think your image and music has changed over the years?
MUCC: Our main concept is to sing about the things that happen around us. Being together for 15 years, we currently sing about the present and future. Also, over the years, our values has changed as well.
-
Q: Tatsurou and Miya, you both were in different bands other than MUCC. How does it affect MUCC?
Tatsurou: We don’t really think too much about it. When we are perform together, we perform normally and it we don’t make any changes whatsoever.
