As the snow was falling on the night of February 14, Valentine’s Day, GACKT made a sudden appearance in Shibuya and presented a cool surprise for fans and passersby who were present.
As the following message was posted on GACKT’s Official LINE account,
“It’s really snowing hard today…maybe even Shibuya won’t be crowded on a day like this…maybe I’ll take a trip to the CD shop…”
many fans debated whether he would really show up or not throughout various SNS, resulting in a multitude of fans making their way to Shibuya, waiting for a GACKT that they didn’t know would appear or not, all in the midst of heavily falling snow.
True to his word, as GACKT appeared on the scene in the evening the crowd of fans erupted in cheer and delight; those who had coincidentally been passing by were caught off guard and reacted with a, “Is that GACKT?” and for a while Shibuya went into a state of panic and commotion.
With the words, “If I remember correctly, Shibuya’s CD shop also had a Starbucks right? A cappuccino sounds great on a day like this…” he apparently made his way to the café that’s connected to the CD shop; however, because there was some fear of confusion due to the multitude of people that had gathered, he left a mere three minutes after he arrived.
GACKT just recently released “P.S. I LOVE U” on February 12, but for fans, this appearance was a truly superb surprise Valentine’s Day present.
