STEALTH: collaborative project of members from C4, GLAY, Sads – Live DVD release

STEALTH, a collaborative project of members of C4, GLAY, and Sads held their first “one-man live” (concert with no opening act) on January 16, 2013. TOKI (C4/vocals), TAKURO (GLAY/guitar), K-A-Z (Sads/guitar), HISASHI (GLAY/guitar), Junji (C4/bass), Tomoi (C4/drums), Toshi Nagai (GLAY support/drums), and Seiichiro Nagai (GLAY support/keyboard) joined together to put on <Affection of “Alstromeria”> at SHIBUYA O-EAST on January 16, 2013. One year later, on January 16, 2014, the concert will be released on DVD.

STEALTH played their first ever concert at Shibuya AX on May 28, 2009. On December 24, 2010, they released a full album, titled “Alstromeria.” All of the proceeds from the album were donated to support children on welfare. TOKI (C4) wrote all of the lyrics, and TAKURA (GLAY) wrote all of the music. The project gathered a lot of attention from the biggest names in the music scene.

All of the band members felt that they wanted children who have to grow up without the love of their parents to “believe in a future as an adult”. STEALTH’s first “one-man live” sold out immediately. The energy and cheers of the crowd heated up the event and made it a huge success. This upcoming DVD captures the essence of that miraculous night.

TOKI: TAKURO brought the idea of this DVD to the group. I took charge of the production of it. When the DVD was finished, I immediately went to TAKURO’s house, and we watched it together. We know each other so well. When we watched the video, we both cried. The thought of everybody involved in the video and those who supported us made us so happy.

TAKURO: The other day, I watched the video with TOKI-san. I felt like it was a very heartfelt concert. I am honored to have been a part of it. Sickbed, which we recorded just for the project, is timeless. If STEALTH reunites in the near future, it would still be hard to surpass the Sickbed we performed that night. It was that amazing for me. “TOKI’s true feelings” will not come across unless you see this version of Sickbed. I want everybody to feel what I felt.
