OKAMOTO'S have announced that they will release a new album on January 15, 2014.
The album's title is "Let It V." The title is nice timing considering that Paul McCartney is currently in Japan, but the "V" actually represents the Roman numeral five. 2014 will be the five-year anniversary of their CD debut as well as their activities with their current lineup (since Hama Okamoto joined the band), and it is also their fifth major album. It will be the year that they celebrate various "fives" in their career.
The album will include tracks such as "HAPPY BIRTHDAY," produced by Quruli's Shigeru Kishida, as well as the band's newest single "SEXY BODY" and "JOY JOY JOY" for a total of eleven tracks. More details about the album will be released at a later date.
With this ambitious album in hand, OKAMOTO'S will also embark on the largest tour in their history, "OKAMOTO'S TOUR 2014 Let It V." Currently, the tour is scheduled for twenty-three stops beginning on February 8 at Chiba LOOK. Pre-sale tickets are available through e-plus until 11:59 p.m. on November 24.
