Linked Horizon Songs of ‘Jiyu e no Shingeki’ Honored for Japan Gold Disk Platinum Award

‘Guren no Yumiya’, ‘Jiyu e no Tsubasa’ and ‘Guren no Yumiya (TV size version)’ by Linked Horizon have surpassed over 100,000 downloads each, and been awarded as Japan Gold Disk Platinum Single. Two out of three songs are also known as opening songs during each season for a TV animation series, ‘Attack on Titan’.

The single coupling the two songs (‘Guren no Yumiya’ and ‘Jiyu e no Tsubasa’) have won the Japan Gold Disk Platinum Award within the first two months since its release, and has stayed in the top 40 on Oricon weekly chart for a long standing 14 weeks. Together with the digital release single ‘Guren no Yumiya’, Linked Horizon proved his popularity in both digital and physical packages.

Revo, the sound creator and stand-alone artist of Linked Horizon, currently has another solo act under a music project name “Sound Horizon”. When Sound Horizon’s first work in three years, “Halloween to Yoru no Monogatari” was released recently, it was ranked top three in the first week of Oricon weekly ranking.

Sound Horizon is scheduled to hold the largest concert he’s ever had on October 26, one day before his 9th year anniversary since debut. The tickets for the event sold out on the day of sales quickly. Fans are expecting to be fully immersed in the world of Sound Horizons’ stage, which is built around the entire “Halloween to Yoru no Monogatari” production.

In addition to performing newly released songs, the upcoming Sound Horizon stage will include songs for ‘Jiyu e no Shingeki’ by Linked Horizon, songs by Revo, and some standard numbers by Sound Horizon which Revo has consistently worked in the last 9 years since debut. The concert is a must-see for core fans because it will be an absolute premium show boasting the very best selected songs of Revo.
