On Wednesday, July 3rd VAMPS began celebrating the "Star Festival" (Tanabata in Japanese) simultaneously with the release of their latest single "AHEAD/REPLAY" on Nico Nico Live. The event began with an hour of VAMPS previous video's and only short clips from the latest single which VAMPS team was promoting, a little disappointing in that aspect.
The second hour the viewers watch the fans walk into the event in gorgeous summer Yukatas which was called "Fashion Check". The fans wrote messages for VAMPS on pieces of paper that were later placed on stage dangling from artificial trees. A few fans were asked to read they're messages to the cameraman, who finally takes the viewers by his camera into the main event.
Big screen T.V.'s were on the stage while Nico Nico aired the entire show for the Japanese audience to watch the viewers messages which scrolled across the screens in languages from around the world. At one point the viewers started commenting, "Hello Japan" and the live audience was waving back to the viewers shouting hello back to various countries. Modern technology can make wonderous moments such as these happen, connecting people from different lands, on the other hand the lagging, blackouts and the sound being dropped every 15 seconds makes you want to throw your computer out the window and happened throughout the event.
Finally after two hours and a rather cheezy MC by the host , hyde and K.A.Z. take the stage in traditional summer dress and sit down to have a casual chat with their audience. They spoke about the new single, new video's, RPG game, read the scrolling messages, made comments back to the online viewers, and discussed the national tour which is completely sold out. A new announcement was made that 10 new dates for those who could not originally get tickets has been added to the national tour. There was a competition on the Taiko drum video game machine with hyde and another guest who both are very skilled at the game.
The highlight of this segment of the event was when the host started picking messages from the fans off of the trees on the stage and calling the fans who wrote the messages to the stage. The most incredible moment was the final message that was picked. A most beautiful woman walks to the stage, as she speaks to hyde and K.A.Z, reveals she is very pregnant, so she walks over to both men, sticks out her swollen stomach and mom gets a belly rub from both as they speak to her stomach, a very touching moment.
During the three hour long broadcast , the suspense was mounting for over 100,000 viewers from around the globe who were waiting patiently but very anxious for the surprise that was to be announced for premium account holders at the end of the event. As the event was moving along about as fast a as hurd of turtles, finally the announcement was delivered.

28 September: Barcelona at Sala Apolo (which was leaked 2 days prior)
1 October: Paris at L'Olympia
3 October: Berlin at Kesselhaus
7 October: London at O2 Academy Islington
After leaving the viewers dazed and confused not seeing their city/country on the screen, another announcement was made following the pattern of the "BEST" album trend going on in Japanese rock music this year, VAMPS announces a new album titled "BLOOD, SEX, ROCK AND ROLL" that will be released in October. Most of the songs will be previous VAMPS songs re-recorded and the entire album will be in English.
