Singer-songwriter Rake has written a song called “ONE WAY” as the new theme song for Fuji TV’s news program, ‘Meza New‘.
“ONE WAY” aired on ‘Meza News’ for the first time on October 1. Regarding the song, Rake commented, “ Whether they’re going to work or school, everyone’s mornings are about to begin. Everyday, everyone faces some kind of failure. While reflecting on yesterday, we must go about our own pace, smile, and enjoy today to the fullest. It would make me happy if this song ‘ONE WAY’ will become a song that will support the start of everyone’s day.” The release date for this song is currently undecided.
Additionally, Rake will release his mini-album, “I sing a song~for Christmas~“, on November 28. For this album, he will cover various Christmas songs such as Yamashita Tatsuro’s “Christmas Eve“, WHAM!’s “Last Christmas“, and John Lennon & Ono Yoko’s “Happy Xmas (War Is Over)“. It will also include Rake’s first original Christmas song (currently untitled).
