Akira Yamaoka - New Album, Performance in Mexico and Remix for DIR EN GREY's "RINKAKU"


The guitarist and composer Akira Yamaoka is giving two concerts in Mexico together with the drummer Meytal Cohen.Last time he went to Mexico, he played with a band of mariachis. Now he will be playing with the Youtube famous drummer Meytal Cohen.
 The lucky fans of Mexico will get two dates with him, November 10 in Guadalajara and on the 15 in Mexico DF. There are no ticket info or specific time announcements yet, as the performance was part of the event called V-Con, which was cancelled recently. However, the concerts are still scheduled to be held at this point in time.

Also, as fans have probably notice, Akira Yamaoka is the person in charge for the remix of DIR EN GREY's most recent single release "RINKAKU", which will be released on December 19th. Although this collaboration might be surprising at first, we are sure it will be awesome.

Moreover, the official Facebook of Akira Yamaoka has seen a great number of updates lately with regard to his previously announced album release. Apparently he has gotten together with his "Silent Hill" band to feverishly work on new and exciting songs and it seems that a couple of song will even be in Spanish. In summer 2012, Yamaoka had been in Spain to perform at a game and pop-culture convention, where he kindly shared his thoughts with musicJAPANplus as well in an exclusive interview. 
For the new record he i8s teaming up with famous singer Mary Elizabeth McGlynn and bassist and vocalist Troy Baker.

Further news on Akira Yamaoka's performances are surely going to be announced soon, so stay tuned and expect a lot from this outstanding artist!
