MERRY will perform their upcoming tour in zombie make-up

MERRY started their Japan tour to promote their latest single, “ZERO”, in November 13. The two-day tour finale held at SHIBUYA-AX.

EGG BRAIN, KARASU, THE CHERRY COKE$, and GIRUGAMESH joined MERRY as guests on the tour. D’ERLANGER was the guest for the Thursday, January 23 show. Since bassist, Tetsu, was still under medical care, YUKKE of MUCC replaced him on bass. D’ERLANGER and MERRY both brought their own flavors to the energetic concert that embodied the feel of “Now”. Vocalist Gara informed the crowd of Tetsu’s recovery progress during the encore. MERRY announced that Tetsu did not wish for the band to stop playing, and that the remaining four members will go on an upcoming Japan tour. The crowd applauded jubilantly.

The upcoming tour will start on Saturday, April 12 and will be called “THE ZOMBIE ~JIGOKUNI OCHITA YAROUDOMO~”. For the tour, the band will be in zombie makeup for every show. Flyers with Gara in zombie makeup were handed out after the show. The title of the tour conjures up images of “the undead rising up from the depths of hell.” The tour finale at Zepp Diver City on Saturday May 24 will be titled “-[D•D•D]-“. Attendees who come in zombie makeup will receive a small gift. The meaning of “-[D•D•D]-“ has not been revealed yet. The ticket prices are labeled as ¥4590 (hell) and ¥10,590 (heaven). The VIP heaven tickets are only available for May 24 and include a special B1 poster and rehearsal invitation.

MERRY’s last tour was titled “Devour” and was full of adversity. There is no question that their comeback will begin in spring 2014.
