KAMIJO's Epic Major Debut Release as Solo Artist

KAMIJO will have his solo major debut with the release of his new mini-album, "Symphony of The Vampire," on March 5. His debut will be with Warner Music Japan, the same company that had formerly signed Versailles. The release comes at the end of about a yearlong endeavor that finally reached its conclusion at the beginning of 2014. The details of the epic release have now been made clear to the public.

His previous release, "Louis~enketsu no la vie en rose~" described the awakening of Louis XVII as a vampire. "Symphony of The Vampire" is a continuation of this story, featuring seven musical movements for a total a total of 1,103 bars lasting over 27 minutes.

The setting of this epic release is the eighteenth century French Revolution. After being taken out of the Temple fortress, Louis XVII becomes a vampire. The magnificent story is about how he becomes king while struggling to come to terms with his fate. The sound is based in symphonic metal, going through dramatic undulations of tempo from aggressive, heavy movements to beautiful ballads.

The recording of the mini-album featured young drummer Kei Yamazaki, a member of Venomstrip who also does support for talented and influential bands such as DEAD END. The bassist was well-known VAMPS bassist Ju-ken, and the guitarist was Anzi, whose band Matenrou Opera was once part of KAMJIO's label Sherow Artist Society. Currently, there is a second trailer video of "Symphony of the Vampire" on KAMIJO's official YouTube channel in which viewers can get a taste of all seven musical movements. Take the chance to listen to the expressive, rich sound for yourselves.

We also have a comment from KAMIJO regarding the mini-album, so be sure to read the comment below.

"It has been a year since Versailles' hiatus. The idea that I have continuously pictured has finally taken shape.
It's the story of a vampire, and it's a work truly filled with dreams.
Please freely enjoy the magnificent spectacle of music that has taken form."--KAMIJO
