BugLug and AN CAFE to Perform Two-man Tour

BugLug, whose newest single "HICCHAKAxMECCHAKA" just reached number five on the Oricon Single Ranking, and AN CAFE, who just held a one-man performance at Nippon Budokan in honor of the ten-year anniversary of their formation, have announced that they will be holding a two-man tour entitled "Fude Oroshi Two-man Tour SM~SCRAP MONSTERS~." The tour will consist of events in fourteen different locations around Japan, ranging from Hokkaido in the north to Kumamoto in the south.

The bold name of the tour refers to the face that this is the first time these two bands will set out together on a two-man tour. Starting out the over one month tour will be a performance at Hibiya Open-Air Concert Hall on April 5. This performance will be the first show of the year to be held at Hibiya Open-Air Concert Hall. Both bands are full of excitement about this "dream competition."

BugLug announced at their performance at Zepp DiverCity on December 15, 2013 that their slogan for 2014 will be "bucchigiri" (winning by a large margin), and they have already announced four pieces of information related to that. The first is that they will release a DVD of the aforementioned December performance. The second is that they will release a new single entitled "Hone." The fourth is that they will hold a tour of Tokyo, Nagoya, and Osaka ending at Hibiya Open-Air Concert Hall on June 8. At the time, they kept the third announcement a secret, but in fact, the third announcement was of this two-man tour.

Additionally, BugLug performed at a three-band event at Akasaka BLITZ on January 5 with their labelmates at Resistar Records, DOG inThe Parallel World Orchestra and Blu-BiLLioN. They also released surprising new artist photos. All of the members' bones are visible beneath their suits, which refers to their new single's title "Hone" (bone). This novel step is very characteristic of BugLug's love of betraying people's expectations, and fans are excited about the song that gave birth to these shocking images.

BugLug has also announced that in July and August, they will be bringing the aforementioned three-band tour to nine cities around Japan. The tour's title is "Chigai Houken VOL.4." "Chigai Houken VOL.3," which was held in the summer of 2013, was continually sold out, so this year they have scaled up the size of the venues at which they will perform. The tour final will be held on August 28 at Zepp DiverCity.

AN CAFE, who is now in their eleventh year since their formation, have commented that they want to "increase their number of friends," so their theme for 2014 is "making friends." So at their one-man performance at Nippon Budokan on January 4, they announced that they will be holding three multi-band tours in 2014.

AN CAFE is putting together one big project with the intention of "showing mutual respect and cultivating one's character by fighting for real, without carelessness." Their two-man tour with BugLug is the first part of this project (the participants in the next part are as of yet unannounced). Consequently, AN CAFE has not stood on the stage at Hibiya Open-Air Concert Hall since their performance seven years ago in April of 2007, when then-guitarist Bou graduated from the band. It is possible to surmise that the band is excited to return to such a memorable place after many years of absence.

Prior to the two-man tour with BugLug, AN CAFE will be going on their fourth world tour in February and March. The tour is called "NYAPPY GO AROUND THE WORLD IV-Kawaii CAFEKKO AISHITERU-," and they will be holding the final performance of the world tour in Japan, the first time AN CAFE has ever done so. They will be performing in twelve cities in eight different European countries, and the final shows of the tour will be held on March 26 and 27 at Meguro Rokumeikan.

The tickets for this special tour by two bands that have declared that they are going all-out for 2014 will go on general sale on February 8. Prior to this, tickets are available for advance reservation starting on January 19. BugLug, with their bizarre new release and a recent performance at Hibiya Open-Air Concert Hall under their belts will come together with AN CAFE following their world tour. The thrilling competition between these two bands that hold mutual respect for each other cannot be missed.
